We are looking for a Senior Manager of Warehouse and Logistics to join our team in Clarksburg, MD. This leader will oversee Stockroom, Shipping, Warehouse, and Data Analysis teams, ensuring effective material storage, control, and transportation across multiple programs. The ideal candidate brings strong warehouse management and shipping experience, proven cross‑functional leadership, and the ability to drive operational excellence while developing high‑performing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and performance oversight to the Stockroom, Warehouse, Shipping, and Data Analysis teams, to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee material flow processes, including inventory accuracy, material movements, and optimization of storage methods and stockroom layout.
- Lead the development and execution of the cycle count program to maintain high inventory integrity.
- Monitor material inventory, oversee material movements, and organize stockroom locations and storage methods for efficiency.
- Introduce and expand barcode and RFID technologies to strengthen traceability and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Planning/Scheduling to prioritize kit pulls and support production needs.
- Define, track, and improve KPIs to drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all stockroom and warehousing activities comply with Thales policies, ethics standards, audit requirements, and AS9100/ISO9001 guidelines.
- Collaborate with Engineering and suppliers to develop robust, cost-efficient product packaging solutions for shipment.
- Foster a positive, high‑performance work environment aligned with Thales’ strategic objectives.
- Develop, coach, and support employees at all levels, ensuring they have the skills, resources, and guidance needed for success.
- Assign responsibilities effectively, maintain clear communication, and ensure accountability for strong team performance.
- Oversee professional development, performance management, and succession planning to build a skilled, high‑performing organization.
- Lead Lean and continuous improvement initiatives and reinforce discipline to sustain gains.
Supervisor Responsibilities
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities can include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; creating effective staff plans - assigning and directing work in a matrix organization; performance appraisals, rewarding and management of employee discipline when required; and addressing complaints and resolving conflicts. Active mentoring and development of staff is a critical element of the supervisory responsibilities to create a highly performing cohesive team.

- U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Minimum 10 years of total experience as a Stockroom Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Business Management or Supply Chain Management preferred (Master's Degree a plus).
- APICS/ASCM Certified Preferred.
- Strong, practical expertise in the key functions of the role, with the ability to apply that knowledge to solve complex problems.
- Experience with ERP systems required; SAP preferred.
- Occasional Domestic travel up to 10%.
- Must be able to uphold, support and educate employees on the Thales Code of Ethics and TUSA Compliance Policy.
The annualized pay range for this role is $107,640.00 – 137,540.00 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 10%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above. TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
