We currently have an opening for a Field Service Representative (FSR). Candidates should have a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be remote. This position reports to the Manager of the Field Support Department out of Clarksburg, MD.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • The FSR provides customers with the technical expertise and support required to develop system solutions, demonstrations and training on Thales's portfolio of products. 
  • This individual is expected to be proficient or become proficient in the operation of Thales products and those devices and equipment our products interface with to include DoD satellite terminals, CISCO routers and other IP networked systems.
  • The FSR is the primary technical connection back into the engineering organization to help not only solve technical issues but to also keep the engineering organization and business development organization abreast of emerging customer requirements and technologies.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • A technical college degree or experienced military personnel with applicable knowledge and skills.
  • 7+ years' experience including knowledge of DoD support initiatives and maintenance concepts.
  • Fluent in English. The desired candidate should have excellent English written and oral communication skills. 
  • Willingness to travel 75% as a minimum is necessary. Travel may be to anywhere in the world to support training users of our equipment – domestic and internationally. 
  • Must have solid work habits, ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • A strong emphasis on MANET Networks and tactical military communications is essential. 
  • The FSR should be well-versed in wireless networking with an understanding in tactical waveforms including: SGFH, IW, MUOS and TSM.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products and preferred proficiency with SharePoint.
  • The ideal candidate will have the following or related qualifications.
    • 5 years’ experience with tactical communications equipment.
    • Prior experience in system integration, networked systems, operator training and technical troubleshooting is ideal.
    • Junior engineers in directly aligned tactical communications companies with experience and a strong desire to transition to customer-focused applications. 

 

The annualized pay range for this role is $87,145 - $111,352 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 5%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above.  TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
